Our Business

A Special Touch has serviced women in the Annapolis, Delmarva and Southern Maryland area since 1991. 

My mother, Lois, was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1992.  Following a successful mastectomy and subsequent chemotherapy, she began wearing breast prostheses, mastectomy bras, and mastectomy swimwear as a customer of A Special Touch. 

In 2001, we had the good fortune to purchase A Special Touch; a great match, combining my mother's journey and my business background. 

We are truly honored to be able to service the community which was so good to her!

My mother and I have owned A Special Touch since 2001.  I am a BOC Certified Mastectomy Fitter and professionally trained wig fitter.

You will find my mother, a retired AACo educator, at A Special Touch when she is not working part-time with the Anne Arundel County Library system.
